Before we get into a discussion of more metaphorical sweating - in a few weeks’ time, I’m going to be working up an actual sweat in support of my brilliant organisation, Streetwise Opera.
"Details are important, but they are also a great place to hide" - so elegantly put, and such an important point to keep hold of, especially for someone stepping up internally from an operational role to a strategic one. There's also a certain amount of comfort in focussing on the visible progress (the flowers have been replaced = I have made a difference) when the long term, invisible stuff feels overwhelming.
